jo, i love your attitude of thankfulness, and i LOVE that picture... i'm adding it to my post asap.
thanks for the comment too. i thought more about it (and added to my post accordingly) -- his prayer felt, to me, simultaneously inclusive and exclusive, and that reflects the tension that our government has around the question of whether or not we're a christian nation. there are convincing arguments on both sides, so in the end, we're not left with much of an answer... and thus we have prayers like warren's, which want to be christian but want not to offend. you know what i mean?
